About

Dr Kylie Thorp (TCM)

Chinese Medicine Practitioner Acupuncturist

Kylie is the founder of Thorpful Touch, a practice grounded in compassion, connection, and holistic care. She brings together more than a decade of experience in healthcare with a strong interest in holistic, person-centered care. She holds a Master of Applied Science (Acupuncture) from RMIT University and is also a Registered Nurse.

Kylie’s approach to healthcare is shaped by her belief that health is influenced by physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors and restoring health occurs when the body, mind, and emotional self are supported together. Her transition from nursing into Chinese Medicine came from a desire to work more deeply with prevention, to support health in a more holistic way, nurturing body mind and spirit by regulating of the nervous system, and long-term well being, rather than crisis-driven care alone.

Kylie’s areas of interest include pain management, sleep disorders, musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, digestive health and immunity, psychological well being, and overall family healthcare for women, men, and children.

Kylie is especially passionate about creating a safe, respectful, and empowering environment where people feel seen, listened to, and supported in their healthcare journey. At Thorpful Touch, Kylie blends evidence-informed Traditional Chinese Medicine principles with modern clinical understanding to create personalised treatment plans that honour each person’s unique story, pace, needs and goals.
